Pacentro

The best time to get to Pacentro is at sunset, when the lights of the village start to light up and compete with the last lights of the sky, creating an enchanted and timeless atmosphere. The village lies on the slopes of the Morrone Mountains, perched, with the mountain that protects it and the eye to control the Valle Peligna. The heart of the village is the Caldora Castle, with its towers, the outer protective walls and the moat, better than anything else that tells of its past, while around the village there is a landscape that expects nothing but to be explored, following the many paths that cross it. A curiosity: the town is known to be the place of origin of the Ciccone family, from which the singer Madonna descends.
